Sorry I haven’t been on tumblr much in the last month, but I’ve had so much uni work to do for assessments that I just haven’t had time.

I’ve been tumbling intermittently, but actually trying to stay off it to avoid distraction.

I’m currently finalising a podcast and finishing two 2500 word essays, but as of NEXT FRIDAY I’m finished for summer! And finished my second year at uni. Gosh. I can’t wait to have that illusive thing called free time again though.

So I watched Star Trek last Sunday and then went to see Star Trek Into Darkness on Wednesday and IT WAS AMAZING.

JUST AMAZING. I literally couldn’t find any flaws (not that I’m very critical). Abrams build on what was great about the first film to make the second one even better!

The characters were explored in more detail and relationships were deepened. Also, I loved the fact that characters like Scotty and Chekov who were great in the first one got more screen time in this one, without being detrimental to the main characters or plot.

Ah don’t even get me started on the plot. AND ACTING. DON’T GO THERE. Everyone was just first class.

Benedict was UNREAL.

Also new bromance to add to the list of my favourite bromances - Kirk and Spock. I’ll not spoil anything, but watching the glass scene at the end (YOU ALL KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT) I cried.

To put into perspective how much I loved it: I thought it was as good as Iron Man 3. And if you know my love for Marvel, then you’ll know that is A LOT OF LOVE.

Definitely going to see it again in the next couple of weeks.
