Did someone say the Avengers?
I'm Kate! 19, British, and studying English at University. Writer, dancer, dreamer. Here you will find my love for: The Avengers & cast. Hiddles and Hemsworth. Marvel, DC and literature. Sherlock, Merlin and Dr Who. White Collar, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Young Justice. Sherlock Holmes, HP and The Hobbit films. Don't even get me started on Disney. I love reading and writing fanfictions/original work. Bright colours and sunshine are underrated.

It’s been so long since I updated any of my fanfictions.

I miss them

Why has it been so long?

I need to follow more Young Justice blogs!

I mourning the loss of the show and letting my optimism that it might be renewed brew, so I need people to do this with. You know what to do - like or reply this post and I’ll follow you. :)

Bonus points if you can suggest any ideas for YJ fics you’d like to see written. I’m feeling enthusiastic about beginning one but am currently dry on inspiration.

I’ve always liked the notion that if I story didn’t exist that I wanted to read, I should write it myself.

So here we go, going to write some Young Justice fanfiction.

Even though I have about four other Avengers ones on the go.

And an essay to write for Uni…

:’D

Explanatory note

Hey guys,

I’ve been away from tumblr quite a bit recently - more so than usual, and it wasn’t intentional, but I’ve been busy with Uni, and my sister visited last weekend. We had a great time shopping, at the cinema (as you may have guessed by my recent posts we went to see Wreck-It Ralph) and just generally spending time with each other.
We’re incredibly close so I do miss her while I’m away at Uni, and I think the feeling’s mutual. It was fantastic to have a weekend to do whatever we wanted.

I really value you guys for continuing to follow me through fandom phases and lapses in tumbling like this one and I hope you all know that it means a lot.

Also an update on writing for the few of you who follow me for that, I’ve been doing a lot fo original writing recently for the Uni newspaper as I’m hoping to run for an editorial position in the coming weeks so it’s important I’ve had quite a few articles published. I also on Monday just got accepted to write for an online webzine and sent off my first piece for that yesterday.

I’ve also had an idea that has been taking form in my mind for a while now for an actual novel, and I think I’d quite like to run with it. With all this going on fanfiction has had to take a back-seat unfortunately. However the Easter holidays are on the holizon, so while I’ve got assessments coming up, I’ll hopefully have more time to get back to my fics. :)

I think that’s everything for now. Hope you’re all well, and please let me know if there’s anything exciting going on with you - don’t just want to be going on and on about myself! :)

So I need to get back into my writing

since I’ve had to neglect it over the exam period. I’ve just seen the 30 Days of Writing Challenge and think this might be the perfect way to do so.

But I’d like your help/opinions.

Since (hopefully) quite a few of you follow me for my writing and fanfiction I was wondering whether you think I should do the 30 days writing fanfiction with one pairing all the way though, or several different pairings that repeat?

(If I do this the pairings would probably be Hobbit/Avengers/Sherlock related)

Or instead should I do it with original work and make up new characters?

Thoughts?

Avengers AU - The City of Dreams [Masterpost]

Chapter One – London

As the plane banked sharply to the left, it finally dipped through the high layer of typical, British cloud that had been with them since leaving the Atlantic. For a few minutes all they could see were grey tendrils sweeping past the windows, and the plane went quiet in anticipation.

Although this was Clint’s second Olympics, the time difference and long flight meant that he, like most of the team, had fallen asleep four years ago when they had circled over Beijing. He had chastised himself later for being foolish enough to miss seeing the capital from the air.

The archer had made sure not to make the same mistake this year by having three consecutive coffees. This was after he had fallen asleep for a short period once they had taken off from LA.

It was odd because he had once again found himself dreaming about the same thing that had visited him in sleep the past few nights. A woman. She had a slim build and was wearing a pale blue dress that hugged her slender curves. Being a contrasting colour, it ignited her fiery red hair which curled down her back. She seemed very beautiful, but always had her back to him. He called out to her, and in each dream she turned a little more, but he still hadn’t fully seen her face.

In the most recent version, he had seen the curve of her cheekbone, an emerald earring and the beginning of dark lashes, before Bruce nudged him awake.

Anyone got any good recommendations of fanfics for the following?

Avengers

Bleach

White Collar

Young Justice

~

Just in a general mood to accumulate some adventure/hurt/comfort stories to read in between doing work, but I literally can’t seem to get attached to any.

These are just the four things I feel like reading most at the moment, and I want to add a few new fics to my alerts because I hardly get any update alert emails anymore. Help?

Avengers short - ‘A sketch’.

So someone requested Steve and Thor having issues with technology ages ago - it may have been tiny-knight.

But yeah anyway, have some Avengers now that I finally have free time to write again.

It’s not proof read because I’m naught, and going out my dance class soon, so if there are any heinous spelling errors please forgive me, and I’ll sort them later.

Enjoy!

A Sketch

When Tony walked in on Thor and Steve having a quiet conversation in the large and glassy, open plan kitchen that took up almost an entire floor, he didn’t think anything of it. He picked out a can from the fridge whilst fiddling with the wires of a hand-held control, added a sly remark and left without a second glance.

He particularly didn’t think much of the way they stopped instantly stopped talking and turned to look at him. He was perfectly used to the spotlight; when he entered a room people tended to notice. He naturally attracted attention.

Hey guys

It’s been really hit and miss how much time I’ve spent/blogging I’ve done on tumblr over the last two weeks.

I had assessments for all three of my modules due in this week and my friend had to go into hospital with food poisoning, so it’s been a little stressful to say the least.

That same friend came out of hospital on Tuesday though, and I handed in my last assignment today so I now officially have free time again!

Seriously, I’ve been so busy I’m actually unsure what to do tonight now that I’ve actually got leisure time. Read? Write? Do chores? Watch a film? So many possibilities.

This means that, finally, I’ll be getting back to all the fanfictions I’ve neglected over the last month/two months (sorry!) so expect updates and new chapters soon. :)

Just realised how long it’s been since I updated all my fanfictions/wrote new stories and now I’m dying inside.

But I’m soooo busy with Uni work that I don’t have time right now!

Clintasha (not so) short.

She’s sitting at the grand piano stool in their spacious front room. Nobody plays it, but it makes a good spot to sit and observe the whole room from. That’s why Clint liked it anyway.

One eye is on the two vibrant red-haired toddlers sitting playing in the centre of the wooden floor. The other is on the clock. He’s forty eight minutes late now and it’s beginning to make her feel uncomfortable. Clint is always strictly punctual. He’s never once been late back from work. Not once.

Irritated by her own seeping nervousness, Natasha rises from the stool, tucking a stray piece of scarlett hair behind her ear. She ruffles both heads as she passes and tells them she’ll be right back.

She boils the kettle and makes a black coffee, harsh and bitter, just as she likes it. As she moves back into the front room, the doorbell rings.

Her head darts up, pupils contracting. Clint wouldn’t ring the doorbell. He has keys. He always lets himself in singing or calling something out. Her heartbeat quickens as she moves through into the hall, but she smiles at the children, telling them to carry on playing.

It’ll have to wait till tomorrow now. Night!
